OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR GRADUATES

Emergencies and First Aid

First aid is available in Sewall Center on the arena level. If you need emergency assistance while on campus, dial 412-397-2424. Campus police will respond immediately.

Lost and Found

Look for lost items (or turn them in) at the Conference and Facility Services office on the third floor of Sewall Center or call 412-397-4997.

Alcohol Policy

The university alcohol policy will be in effect on commencement weekend. Please do not bring alcoholic beverages to commencement events.

Overflow Area

For families with young children who may become restless during the ceremony, an overflow area for children ages 6 and younger is located in the Pennsylvania Suite on the third floor of Sewall Center. Children in this area must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The ceremony will be broadcast live in this room via closed-circuit TV, and tickets are not required for entry.

An additional overflow area will be in Room 230 of Joe Walton Stadium.

Stole of Gratitude

The Stole of Gratitude is an honor a student may present to a family member, professor, or other mentor who has provided extraordinary support in helping the student succeed at RMU. It is worn by the recipient at commencement. The stole is white with an embroidered university seal, and can be decorated further if the student desires. Stoles can be purchased from Jostens.

Commencement Flowers

Flowers for the Commencement ceremony can be purchased directly from Commencement Flowers.
