Schedule of Events
Residence Halls

Graduating resident students are permitted to stay in the residence halls until Sunday, May 7. Students who wish to stay beyond Saturday, April 29, must register with the Residence Life Office by 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 27.

You may check out of the residence halls at the Residence Life Office in Washington Hall according to the following schedule:

  • Monday–Friday, May 1–5 • 8:30 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 6 • 2–6 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 7 • 10a.m.–1 p.m.

RoMo’s Cafe, located on the plaza level of Nicholson Center, will be open Monday through Friday, May 2–6, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Wednesday, May 3
Presidential Undergraduate Awards Dinner

6 p.m., Sewall Center, International Suite

In recognition of bachelor’s degree candidates who have excelled within their school and major. (By invitation only.)

 
Friday, May 5
Nurses’ Pinning Ceremony

9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Sheraton Hotel, Moon Twp.

Nuclear Medicine Pinning Ceremony

1-2:30 p.m.

Saturday, May 6
Ceremony Preparation

8-8:45 a.m.
Sewall Center, Level 3


Please note: Guests may not accompany graduates to the assembly area.

Bachelor’s Degree Candidates
Report directly to the International Suite, Level 3, Sewall Center, for distribution of name cards, robing, and honors medallions.

Faculty & Staff in Procession
Report to the robing area on the second floor of Sewall Center adjacent to the locker rooms. for the ceremony.

Guest Seating

8 a.m.
(For special needs reserved seating, see details on the home page.)


Sewall Center Arena doors open for general seating. Tickets are required for all guests, including young children and those seated in the special needs reserved seating area. Due to space limitations, strollers are not permitted in the arena. Families with young children who may become restless can watch the ceremony live via closed-circuit TV in the children’s play area on the third floor (no tickets are required for entrance to this area).

Avoid the traffic rush and mingle with faculty and fellow graduates before saying your last goodbyes. Light refreshments served.
